Area:
Porter to Gobblers summit and return.

Elevations, slope angles and aspects:
6300’-10400’, angles to 40°, north and northwest.

Avalanche activity:
Some minor surface sluffing within the new snow.

Slopes skied:
Gobbler’s main northwest face.

Snow surface and conditions:
2” new snow at the trailhead and 2” new snow at the top. Winds were light so little wind effect in the new. Underlying snow is mostly crusted with a variable amount above the crust, at times 4-6” faceted. This is non reactive but does slow the up as it is sandboxing. Little sign of any  recent instabilities, with sluffing minimal. Old wet activity on the sunny aspects.

Weather:
Overcast to clearing skies with some afternoon upper elevation clouds drifting through . Cool temperatures.

Evaluation:

Any hazard at present would likely be from sun warming
